What interested you to work in PR?
I studied Fashion Media and Promotion at University which covered everything from styling, to graphic design to PR. After a very short time it became apparent that I was best suited to the PR portion of the degree and I absolutely loved it! I’ve always been big on communication and the career path perfectly suited my skill set, it really didn’t feel like work because I enjoyed it so much.
What do you love about the job?
After 8 years in PR, no two days have ever been the same. I love the diversity, the pace and the creativity that the role allows but above all I love the people I encounter. There’s so many strong and interesting characters in fashion and PR, I find them fascinating and incredibly inspirational.
What’s your best PR memory to date at instinct?
Jetting off to Venice on a press trip to Diadora HQ. It’s such a beautiful city, we had great weather, great company, great food and a great brand as our host. It was a really lovely trip.
If you could give one piece of advice to aspiring PRs what would it be?
Stay curious. There is so much to learn and so many people to learn from. Take everything you can from every situation and ask lots of questions!
If you were any publication, what would you be?
I love Refinery 29. It incorporates a little bit of everything and has an inclusive, optimistic energy that I find really refreshing.
